Keeps getting better

Been using this app since 1.3.0 and it keeps getting better. If you are a developer using Postgres on the Mac do yourself a favor and buy this app.

A recent client of mine was using Postgres. Since I usually use MySQL, I found myself with no GUI for the database and no idea of what was out there for Postgres. After some frustrating weeks of on-and-off searching and experimenting with other apps, I finally found PG Commander which is by far the best one I came across. Great work and keep it up!

So I’m writting my REST service using Ruby on Rails and hosting it on Digital Ocean. I want the power of PostgresSQL, but I want to be able to have a nice Destop UI. the PgAdmin III says it will connect to a remote instance but after trying and ready for two weeks no luck and about 20 wasted hours. Then I ran accross this app in the app store!! and reading the description it states it will connect to a remote server, that alone is worth the price and it worked! First time, are you kidding me???? PERFECT! I can see my tables and data. The interface still needs a few options like being able to add a user, it actually might be there but I havent found that yet, but if it’s not I’m sure it will be added soon. (hint. hint) Thanks Jason and please keep updating this to make it the go to UI for PostgreSQL you have the skills to do this, lets hope you get some critical mass (i.e. lots of people buy this app) so you have the support you need to spent the time on making this wicked! RECOMENDED!!

This app does exactly what it says on the tin. I have tried many other PG GUIs and they are all terrible. This one is actually good! Stable too, so many others crashed all the time. It also looks like this is being updated relatively frequently, which is awesome.

I highly recommend this app. PG Commander is the best-designed GUI alternative to working on the command line via psql. On top of that, the developer is very helpful. I requested support for materialized views and woke up the next morning with a beta in my inbox that addressed my need (subsequently released as v1.3.0). I then requested support for using integrated graphics, and that feature was just included in the most recent version (v1.4.2). If you’re working with Postgres, buy this app.

After wasting $40 in dev time trying to get other postgresql apps running, I bit the bullet and bought this. Wish I had sooner! Connected through ssh immediately and my data was there instantly. Since it is Mac centric it has full screen mode and looks great on the ol’ rMBP as it *should*. It’s just panes and text, how do the other apps manage to look so crummy? Clearly made by a dev for devs. I’ll make more comments if I notice anything worthwhile. Support this dev and buy this app! Edit 1: Look at that icon, that is a sexy icon.

I had some issues and I emailed the dev. He was super responsinve and helpful in solving my issue. No real complaints.. the software works really well. This might be a long shot request but I would like it if the text area in the the SQL terminal was sticky to the footer. When you run many commands in the terminal and scroll up, the work area can be easily lost.

I purchased this product very recently, only to find that the next version will be 2.0, and that Mac App Store customers will not be eligible for an upgrade.

I bought PG Commander in hopes it would provide a simple way to connect to a database, browse a table, and edit a multi-line text field. As a bonus, it parses out the line feeds in the field and sizes the text control appropriately. Exactly what I needed.

This is a great postgres client. I use it daily and it is leagues better than anything else I’ve tried. If you are taking feature requests I’d love some json editing improvements. Currently when I need to edit json I pretty print it and then copy it to my editor and edit it. It would be great if there was an tree like editor that would let me expand fields.
